Individuals from this group support the family on their journey through the Sacrament of Baptism. They will arrange 'Welcomings' to the Parish family and organise the Baptism Service.
A bereavement group supports the Parish Priest and the family in their difficult time to sort out the logistics of organising a funeral at St Joseph's.
A point of contact in conjunction with the Parish Priest.
Individuals from this group work to ensure that the altar is prepared for Mass, by washing the altar cloths and cassocks, checking candles and preparing for special masses & celebrations within the Liturgical year.

This group meets 5-6 times with couples, prior to the Wedding ceremony, and follow together the Hallam Diocese Marriage Programme.
This is a group of talented ladies who work on a rota to arrange flowers for the altar and church building. They are available to prepare special floral arrangements in church for specific occasions such as weddings, on request.
Ensures that individuals from this group open and prepare the church for the Sacrament of the Mass.
Looking after the repair and upgrade of the fabric of both St Joseph's Church, Dinnington and Blessed William Richardson's Church, Kiveton.
Organises and co-ordinates a yearly rota of all the ministers for publication.
Read study and prepare the first and second readings in order to be able to read aloud at Mass, organises periodic meetings.
Individuals prepare prayers relevant to current issues/needs of the day.
Ensures that the Eucharist is available to people who are sick or housebound.
Organises the rota for Ministers of Communion. Ensures there are sufficient numbers for each service.
Organises and supports groups who lead the singing of the psalms within the Mass.
Selects families or groups to process to the altar with gift (bread and wine) offerings.
Organises a rota of volunteers to support the younger parishioner's understanding of the Liturgy. There are 2 groups which are age appropriate. Each group has at least one adult leader each week.

A fundraising draw, open to all Parish members.
A team collects and secures all offerings.
Deals with Gift Aid declarations and contributions to the Parish. Orders envelopes for Parishioner's contributions.
Purchases good required for cleaning. Organises a rota of volunteer cleaners to spruce up the church interior. Each group of volunteers cleans the church for 1 calendar month.

Welcome everyone into Church on Sundays and give out hymnals and Mass Sheets.

Co-ordinating and steering group to plan and organise services throughout the liturgical year, negotiating with all the relevant support groups in the Parish. Also ongoing training of readers.

A gathering place for parents/carers and toddlers from the community.
Preparing the children through their First Holy Communion programme.
Preparing the parents of first communicants through their First Holy Communion journey.
Individuals from this group support candidates on their journey through the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Confirmants will follow a programme of meetings.
A group meeting on Wednesdays for morning Mass, shared lunch and outings.

This group which meets monthly to discuss issues in order to help steer the Parish through change and prepares for full Parish meetings.

A small group of parishioners meeting for quiet prayer.
Raising awareness of the plights of communities away from St Joseph's and the fundraising efforts to support them. Inviting speakers in to talk to parishioners.
The Credit Union holds the funds for Lourdes, but fundraising is carried out by many groups of people. There is no one specifically leading the raising of funds for Lourdes pilgrimages.
